I wanted to invite you (and invite you to invite others) to an event that I am co-moderating with Carrie Lobman at the East Side Institute--Play in Higher Ed: Is there Something Going on? I love the title, and as we are all of course aware (since we are part of what is going on), the answer is YES, there is something playful going on in higher ed and yet it's often under the radar and outshone by the challenges and dysfunctionality.
Carrie and I will be in conversation with leaders from three organizations that we have been developing relationships with over the past few years:
The Learning Planet
Professors at Play and;
CounterPlay.
All three of these groups are peacefully and playfully subversive. They are finding playful, creative ways to challenge the thousand-year hegemony of the institution of academia.
