Happy 2025! I hope you are doing well and that your new year is off to a fine start.
I've been practicing social therapeutics as offered by the East Side Institute for more than 20 years, using it as a tool/approach to building groups in higher education. Last year, I completed the Institute's year-long program in social therapeutic coaching and have been coaching folks for the past 6 months.
One group I started last fall was "Social Therapeutic Writing Group for Students and Faculty in Higher Education." This was a 6-week group for folks to come together and socialize their writing processes and products and create a community of support. We challenged our assumptions of what writing, presenting, and publishing must be in academia and created new opportunities for us to create and share our writing, research, and community building.
This group is interested in continuing and I'd love to invite you to build it with me. The group meets weekly for 90 minutes from 6:30-8:00 pm EST on Tuesdays, with a start date of February 4.
